Pamela’s Prompt: “When” Would You Go If You Could be a Time Traveler?

Tomorrow is Pretend to be a Time Traveler Day, according to National Day Calendar. Who knew, right? Well, you would have if you could travel back in time to 2007, the first year this obscure holiday was observed or to the future when people are celebrating the 100^th anniversary of the holiday in the year 2107. Huh? My head’s spinning.

Anyway, time travel has long been a trope of science fiction. Here are just a few of the books, movies and television shows which deal with time travel:

Dr. Who
Quantum Leap
A Wrinkle in Time
The Time Machine
Star Trek
A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur’s Court
Back to the Future
Groundhog Day

So, set a timer for 5 to 10 minutes and write about “when” you would go if you could time travel. And, like Doc Brown told Marty McFly in Back to the Future, “Roads? Where we’re going, we don’t need roads.”
